SiteScout Upcoming Feature: Introducing Algorithmic Optimization

Dear Valued Customer,

We are excited about our upcoming feature, Algorithmic Optimization, available on October 19, 2017, because of the operational efficiencies and performance improvements that your team will realize from it.

Algorithmic Optimization:

  • Makes automated bid adjustments based on your best performing inventory by analyzing all the placements in which your campaign is running
  • Captures any modifications in real-time in the campaigns grid for full transparency
  • Allows you to interact with the algorithm to leverage your expertise and influence its behavior
  • Frees up valuable time so you can focus on business objectives and less on individual campaign tactics

What is changing?
To allow the algorithmic optimization feature to operate, the way inventory is displayed in SiteScout will transition from a Site to a Domain model; Site IDs and Site Bundles will be deprecated.

Your existing campaigns ending before January 31, 2018* will not be affected, but you will notice the following changes:

Inventory Screen
A new and revamped screen with multiple filtering options to easily find domains and apps your campaign can run on.

Campaign Creation
The inventory tab of the campaign editor will require you to first select the exchanges, then the domains and apps you want your campaign to run on, and finally any domain lists if applicable.

Campaign Stats
Information about where your campaigns have purchased inventory from will be shown as a domain and not a site. Site IDs and Site Bundles will no longer appear in the UI.

Macros
For third-party reporting, you will need to use domain macros, rather than site macros in your tags.

Copying Campaigns and Campaign Groups
Only campaign settings can be copied; site rules cannot be carried over, and these options will be unavailable. Any new campaigns will have the option to copy domain rules.

*Site IDs and Site Bundles will be fully retired in SiteScout on January 31, 2018 at 11:59pm. For existing campaigns that are purchasing impressions from Site IDs ending after January 31, 2018, they will need to be recreated to purchase impressions against Domains.
