His goal was to increase pageviews — without collecting email addresses. To match the List Builder pop-up design, he changed the colors and font slightly. - Setting success to drive to a page on Noah’s website — no email required
Once launched, the Scroll Box had a 6.31% click rate. Step #3 — Increasing sign-ups 51.82% with content upgrades Last, Noah utilized a content upgrade to generate targeted email subscribers. A content upgrade is a highly relevant click pop-up in the content of a web page. For example, Noah placed a link to an Amazon ebook marketing pack in a blog post about getting your book #1 on Amazon. When the user clicks the link, they see a relevant pop-up to enter their email address for the pack. The high relevance means an extremely high conversion percentage. The content upgrade is configured similar to a List Builder pop-up. The only difference is the visibility is set to a click trigger instead of timed visibility.
